Swedish born singer and song writer, Erik Hassle released his EP ‘Somebody’s Party’ on 4th March consisting of six tracks. One of which I recently heard on Spotify which immediately drew me to the artist and inspired me to find out more. The track ‘Pathetic’ begins with the clicking of fingers and a dubstep vibe. It creates an air of ‘coolness’ and then Hassle starts to sing.
His voice is reminiscent of the likes of James Arthur and Robin Thicke which makes for a smooth combination in this suave pop tune. The huskiness of his voice is perfect for the lyrics and suits the tune to a T.
Not only is Hassle a singer, but also a talented song writer who has written for the likes of Shakira with her single “Can’t Remember to Forget You”. This year also sees the release of his debut album. Watch the video for ‘Pathetic’ below.
