Hello, I’m back again and trying to stick with the whole posting more regularly thing. For this post, I thought I’d try something different and share my favourite range of makeup products with you. I’ve been using No7 through pretty much of all of my teenage years and it has been my saviour for clear skin. Their face wash is amazing but now I tend to use Cliniques’ 3 step range for that which you can find here.
It is slightly on the pricey side but so worth it for the quality of the products. I’ve probably used every makeup product out there except MAC which I’ve heard is pretty good. Rimmel is quite good for Mascara and Clinique if you’re looking for something more neutral. However, this post is about No7 and my go to products for every day.
- Stay Perfect Foundation- £14.50
It’s so hard to find the right shade of foundation that matches your skin type but with No7 they have a ‘Match Made’ service where they will use a small device to match you with your perfect colour. I’ve got quite pale skin so I wear Warm Ivory. It’s SPF 15 and I’ve never burnt when wearing it in the sun, I just put a thin layer of sun cream on top. As you can see the bottle is fairly large so you get value for money and the product supposedly lasts for up to two years! (I would say 6 months if used every day or a year if used less.) I love how light the foundation is as other brands are quite thick and made it look like I was wearing heavy makeup. With No7, I feel confident that I’m achieving a more natural look.
2. Airbrush Away Primer -£16.50
I haven’t actually used this product yet but I’ve been recommended to use Primer by a friend. I find foundation doesn’t sometimes stay very well on my nose and chin. Primer creates a base for your makeup and works with your moisturiser to give you polished, smooth skin. This product is also meant to last for two years but I would say up to about 6 months if you use it every day or a year if ou use it less. I’m looking forward to trying it out.
3. Extravagant Volume Waterproof Mascara -£12.50
This is my absolute favourite of the No7 products I have. It’s just brilliant. I like to pile on the mascara when I’m going out and this product gives you thick, long lashes. It is quite a heavy mascara so if you’re looking for something more natural, I’d recommend one of their other mascara’s such as the Stay Perfect range. This one has lasted me ages despite saying it only lasts 6 months and hasn’t dried out like many other mascara’s I’ve used before. It stays on all day and is very waterproof. There’s nothing else like it.
4. Stay Perfect Cinnamon Spice Lipstick – £9.95
I didn’t actually pay for this lipstick. It was a freebie as if you buy two No7 products, you get the third free (on most products in their range.) I don’t really buy lipstick as I always seem to choose a colour which doesn’t suit me but the helpful assistants at No7 asked me what colours I liked and looked at my skin tone to match me with the perfect shade. I chose from the three they selected and now use Cinnamon Spice all the time. It’s a pinky, reddish colour and I love it!
5. Nourishing Nail & Cuticle Care – £6.00
I’ve really got into caring for my nails over the past few years. I’m a massive nail polish hoarder and absolutely love No7’s range of nail polish. Temptress is beautiful. I never really thought about buying a cream for my nails but I find they chip and break really easily so I’ve recently started using this product. It’s light and easy to apply and my nails are feeling stronger all the time.
Here’s me with all of the No7 products on. I do have a bit of grey eyeshadow on too but the rest are all No7. They’re all products which can be used every day as you can see I don’t look too dressy and I haven’t used too much product. Boots stock all of the No7 range as well as Superdrug but I’d recommend Boots as you can get your ‘Match Made’ Foundation and talk to advisors about the best product for you. Let me know what your favourite products are.
