January Round Up

2017 has been eventful hasn’t it? We’re in the throes of leaving the EU and Trump is causing controversy across the world and that’s only politics. It seems to be the only thing on people’s minds though. The whole world seems to be succumbing to the fact that 2017 may not be bigger and better like they expected. For me personally though, 2017 has been fairly peachy.

I saw in the New Year with (most of) my favourite people. The rest were recovering from various forms of the lurgy. It was also Rich and I’s 2 year anniversary. Cute. Without turning on the sappiness, it was lovely and we celebrated with a meal out at The Plough and Harrow which is a great pub in a sweet, quaint village called Littlington.

I honestly surprised myself at how much I wanted to actually join the gym this year. I’ve probably only been about once in my 21 years on this planet and that was after deciding pizza was a good idea for the 3rd time that week. Anyway, I joined up along with my boyfriend (I know, #couplegoals right?) and we’ve been going twice a week throughout January. I’ve also been going with friends as well and guess what? I’m really enjoying it! The exercise classes are great fun and I’ve been feeling a lot more positive after a good work out. Definitely carrying on with that after January.

I’ve had a constant battle since I left Uni to secure a permanent role but I think I’ve finally found the perfect role for me. I was slightly disappointed after the interview as some of the questions were quite challenging but a few days later I got a call to say I’d got the job! I was pretty shocked but am so happy to start in a couple of weeks. I’ll keep you all updated.

  • COLD

On Sunday, I came down with a bad cold. I felt all achy, bunged up and had no energy. Come Monday, I felt even worse and me being stubborn old me decided work was a good idea. An hour and a half later, I left and crawled into bed for the rest of the day. I feel slightly better today but my head still feels like it’s going to explode every so often and I blow my nose every few minutes. Fun times. However, the dog is curled up on my feet and I’ve been reading and watching TV so it’s not all bad I suppose.

So that was my January, how was yours and what are you looking forward to next month? My birthday is in a couple of weeks so February will be a good one for me.
