DAY 3- What are your top 3 pet peeves?

I’ve been really looking forward to writing this post because I have so many pet peeves and love a good rant about the silly things in life so here goes…

  1. Slow and stupid drivers

This just had to be top of the list! I do have a slight bit of road rage I’ll admit but it makes my blood pressure rise when a car decides to pull out in front of you at the last minute or crawls along at 20 miles an hour oblivious to all the traffic it’s creating behind it. Then there’s the people who brake excessively like when they’re going round corners or even UP a hill??? Oh and there’s also those that brake when a lorry is passing them on the opposite side of the road! It’s not going to crash into you… I’ve actually done a whole separate post on my road rage issues which you can read (and probably relate to) here.

2. Bad Grammar

Seriously people, we’ve been using spell check and auto correct for years now, you should definitely know the difference between your and you’re!! This can give off completely the wrong context and just looks embarrassing.  Texts are no excuse either. I’ll forgive you if you’re dyslexic (which even I struggled to spell so how is someone who is dyslexic meant to be able to spell it?!) Common sense people!

3. Password systems

I thought long and hard about what my third pet peeve should be and I just had to put passwords. By this I mean passwords for social accounts, online banking, portals and anything which requires you to log into an account. How difficult is it to create and remember a password for about 20 different accounts?! You’re told not to use your name, pets name, birthday or any other details but something obscure (that will be easily forgotten) followed by numbers and special characters oh and don’t forget capital letters. Then you have to verify your password through email and what if you don’t remember the password to your email??

I know Google often remembers passwords which is great but how secure is this? Each time you log in, you have to remember which combination of that same password you use for everything that you used for the sodding website only for it to be declined. 3 tries later and you’re locked out of your account. Sometimes you will be asked the answer to your security question and sometimes even that is impossible. Other times, you actually have to contact an administrator to unlock your account again. So much effort just to get into an account!!! So annoying and definitely a big pet peeve of mine.

What are your biggest pet peeves?

Tomorrow I’ll be talking about someone who inspires me. See you then 🙂
